1st Family Dental is pleased to participate for the 2nd year in the "Dentist With a Heart" Program at our Fox Valley Location through the Aurora Children's Dental Services and the Aurora Junior Women's Club. We're also pleased to be able to expand our volunteer and community service efforts to the Roselle community as well in 2012. Services will be reserved for those in need ages 3 and up, and will be administered on a First-Come, First-Served basis. 1st Family Dental of Arlington Hts Employee Christina Rafidia wins the 2011 Miss Arab USA Competition!
Please join us in congratulating 1st Family Dental employee Christina Rafidia, who competed against many and was crowned Miss Arab USA 2011 on Saturday September 10. Christina has been working as a Dental Assistant at our Arlington Heights Location since June of 2007. Her friendly nature and great customer service skills make her great with both adult and child patients.
Christina's competition Facebook page states: "Chi town, I'm coming home and even better, as a winner! So proud to call myself Miss Arab USA 2011!! Thank you all for your support and kind words..I will do my best to make you all proud..."

1st Family Dental of Fox Valley Sponsors the 2011 Mid America Canoe & Kayak Race
1st Family Dental of Fox Valley was a proud sponsor of the 50th Anniversary of the Mid American Canoe and Kayak Race. The event took place on Sunday, June 5. The 1FD staff and doctors had a great time participating in the race and meeting new people in the community. We had a great time, and were able to give away tons of freebies, as well as raffle prizes! Congrats to our grand price winner, Jean, who took home a free Oral-B electric toothbrush. We're looking forward to next year. Many thanks to Vicky K. for organizing such a fun and wonderful event.

1st Family Dental of Fox Valley proudly sponsored the Naperville Park District Recital which took place Sunday May 22nd at North performing Art Center. During the two performances, 1FD gave away raffle prizes and distributed goodie bags for the dancers.

1st Family Dental of Fox Valley Teams Up with PTA from Cowlishaw & Nancy Young Schools
Each year disctrict 204 PTA groups from Cowlishaw Elementary School and Nancy Young Elementary School organize special events for the students and their families. 1FD Proudly sponsored both events by supporting the P.T.A and by being present as a part of 1FD dental health awareness program, which helps to improve education in the areas of oral hygeine, as well as sports safety and orthodontics and braces. We also managed to give away some great prizes that made the event participants smile!

1st Family Dental Annual Gathering - Celebrating 2010 as a Year of Growth!
On Saturday, March 12, more than 150 staff, doctors, guests and friends of 1st Family Dental gathered at Atlantis Banquet Hall in Arlington Heights for our annual company celebration - and there was certainly lots to celebrate! In his welcome speech to guests, Dr. Ghassan Abboud, President & Founder, touched on some of the highlights of 2010. During the past year 1st Family Dental opened three new clinics (a growth rate of 44%), hired 26 new staff members, as well as 7 new doctors, and can still proudly boast a retention rate of more than 95%! Dr. Abboud cited some of the reasons for the company's continued success, including the hard work and dedication of our staff, the loyalty of our happy patients, as well as healthy doses of coffee to keep us going! Here's to a great year past, and looking forward to a wonderful 2011!

Free Dental Clinic Day a Great Success!
On February 15, 2011, 1st Family Dental of Fox Valley partnered with the Dentist with a Heart program, and with the help of a very generous donation by President and Founder Dr. Ghassan Abboud, and through the hard work of Dr. Summer Totonchi and Dr. Nidal Obeid, more than 30 patients in need were able to receive free dental care and treatment, with a total donation of more than $10,000! The feedback from the patients was overwhelmingly positive. We can't wait to participate again next year!
